Ghosts on the Banke: A Family Event at Strawbery Banke Museum
When: October 30-31st Cost: $6.00 (Members: $FREE)
Event Details:Come and meet the Ghosts on the Banke at Strawbery Banke’s famous Halloween celebration. Long-dead sea captains, 17th century shopkeepers and wayward pirates haunt the streets and houses of Portsmouth’s oldest neighborhood as you trick or treat safely from house to historic house.
Time: 5:30 - 8:00 pm Cost: $6.00 per person
Trick-or-Treat Safely: 100’s of Jack-O-Lanterns light the way as you step over the threshold of time and meet the Ghosts of The Banke while trick-or-treating safely from house to historic house… Enjoy: Horse Drawn Hay Rides: Snuggle down into the hay, gaze up at the stars and relax before chancing a visit to…The Witch’s House! We dare you to knock on the old witch’s door ~ ask for a treat you’ll be afraid to eat! Ghost Stories: Listen to haunting ghost stories in the old barn ( Shows at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00 & 7:30 pm.). Lost Souls Tavern: Meet the long dead ghosts that haunt this Historic Inn. (nice & spooky - ages 6+) Haunting Vintage Photographs: Capture time with a Strawbery Banke Vintage Halloween Photo (only $7.00). Great Bonfire: Celebrate the most ancient of Halloween traditions and join in the singing at Camp Dry Bones by the All Hallows Bonfire. Monster Morgue: Be very afraid! Climb through the spider webs into the dark and gloomy basement of the "Monster Morgue". Who knows what you'll hear and TOUCH...Strictly for ages 8 and over. Cornstalk Maze: Find your way through our 6’high cornstalk maze ~ a treat awaits you on the other side! Halloween Mini-Carnival: Skeleton Bowling anyone? Play Halloween style carnival games. Fun & easy ~ Everyone Wins! Spooky Snacks & Creepy Crafts: Don't miss freshly baked Pumpkin Bread from the Lollipop Tree. Apple Crisp, Hot Dogs, Rootbeer Floats, Kettle Corn and Hot Cider are for sale to keep you warm!

Advance tickets may also be purchased in person from NOW until 3:00pm on October 30th at the new Tyco Visitors Center at the Hancock Street entrance Monday thru Saturday - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday - Noon to 5:00 pm or by calling: 603-433-1107 during Museum Hours for more information.
