TODAY IS MARKET SQUARE DAY IN PORTSMOUTH

Lames

Today is Market Square day in Portsmouth about a 250.000 people in downtown Portsmouth. A lot to do if that's what you like.
For those of us who have had enough of festivals how about a nice lunch or dinner today at "The Old Salt" at lamies in downtown Hampton. This is one of my second favorite restaurants in Hampton (Ronjillians being my favorite). No matter what area of the country your in there is always some restaurant that people will drive hours to get too. The Old Salt is one of those places. The Higgins family owns and operates the restaurant and Lamies Inn and are always on site making sure things run the right way. Sunday brunch is a must.
Well I did not check the weather for the area as of yet so you might want to click on Qwickcast for yourself!
Have a great Saturday in Hampton NH.

REAL ESTATE ON ROUTE 1A IN NH

n.hampton

When traveling north on route 1A it can be difficult to decide what to look at. On the right you have the ocean and on the left you'll pass by some of the most spectacular real estate you can imagine. The Photo above was once a summer home only. You'll pass dozens of homes on your ride. All different, there is no architectural theme however you'll find them all quite interesting. Don't worry about the jerk behind you. This road was not made for getting somewhere in a hurry. Plus on the many sharp turns speed limits are 10 miles an hour. The N. Hampton and Rye police enforce these limits. You'll find a few pull offs in this area. If you can park there is a boardwalk on top of the stone seawall. Get your camera and enjoy the views!

GIUSEPPES FAMOUS ITALIAN SAUSAGE

giuseppes

What more do you need from a vacation spot than this! You could cut right through this waiting traffic with your Vespa and get yourself the best Italian sausage you've ever tasted at Giuseppes at Hampton Beach! One step to the left You've got your Pizza and Calzones. Next Fries and just to top it off a chicken Caesar rollup. Now that's heaven. Jordan's Pizza to the right has always been a favorite. This picture was taken over this last weekend and they are not open yet. Zantac anyone?

TWO RESTORED VESPAS

vespa

Now that we have gone from March weather right into July these restored Vespas probably look like a lot more fun! What a great way to get around the beaches or the Seacoast area. NORTH BEACH HAMPTON NH

n. beach

This is North Beach In Hampton. The Photo below was taken from the same spot at about 180 degrees to the right. So you can see how close Kennedy's is to the beach.

KENNEDY'S RESTAURANT HAMPTON

Kennedy's

Located across from the residents parking area at the corner of High St and route 1-A you'll discover Kennedy's Restaurant. This has been a favorite for locals and long time visitors for at least 2000 years. They're open for breakfast and lunch throughout the day. This picture was taken from the seawall across the street so you can see it has easy access for sunbathers on Hampton's North Beach. You can here some good local gossip hear as well. They are open year round so swing by some winter morning for breakfast as well. More Restaurants coming up!

RONJILLIAN'S BRICK OVEN PIZZA BEST IN HAMPTON

brick oven pizza

I have mentioned Ronjillian's Restaurant in Hampton before but I have been unable to show photos of it because it's alway full. The last thing people want is someone running around with a camera while their trying to enjoy the best food in the Seacoast area. This Brick oven churns out the absolute best pizza around from plain cheese to white pizza loaded with garlic and veggies. You've got to try it!

RONJILLIAN'S RESTAURANT AND LOUNGE

Inside

This is the dining room or about a quarter of it with the bar to the right. Pasta, Seafood, Salads, Appetizers and more. My favorite is the Veal cutlet with Ziti or the Chicken Broccolli Alfredo. What ever you order you can expect it to be wonderfull and a lot of it! Your best bet for the average eater is to decide on the same entre and split it or expect to be eating it at home for two days! The drinks are generous and the staff is friendly and laid back.

RONJILLIAN"S BEST IN HAMPTON

RONJILLIAN'S

Ronjillian's is located in Hampton on route one. Just across the street from the Inn of Hampton and next to O'LEARY'S Bar and Grill.
