FULLER GARDENS

fuller gardens

If it's flowers your looking for you can head to Portsmouth Presscot Park and see a fabulous selection for free. Or you can take a tour of the Fuller gardens on Willow ave in North Hampton right off route 1-A..Today, thanks to the Fuller Foundation, the members and other supporters, the Fuller Gardens still represent one of the last working formal estate gardens of the early 20th century. Designed in the Colonial Revival style on a two and one half-acre plot, these Gardens remain a ‘seaside gem’ for the enjoyment of over ten thousand annual visitors. The Gardens are open from mid-May to mid October, seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and also host a series of horticultural and educational event throughout the season.

The Gardens are in bloom throughout the season. Beginning with the extensive tulip display in early May, followed by the Japanese Garden and other late spring flowering shrubs and bulbs. The two thousand rose bushes start their season long bloom in late June-early July and continue through October. Unusual and eye-catching annual and perennial plantings, together with a Hosta display garden and Japanese garden are all with in the sculpted hedges.

PERFECT WEATHER TO SEE HAMPTON ON A VESPA

vespa

This is the perfect weather to see the Seacoast area on a Vespa! This one and many others like it start at just $3,995 with a 6 month warranty and 100 mile free delivery service from Portsmouth NH. These vintage 60's Vepas have been completely restored and have powerful 150cc 2 stroke moters. I keep slipping in these Vespas occasionally beacause I have always loved them. Don't be fooled by the 50cc scooter for $2,500 they are slow and dangerous. You need the extra power of a Vespa to get you out of sticky traffic situtation. Take it from a motorcycle rider not enough power is not good.
Anyway the weather forecast is good so get out and enjoy the day. We are now under full summer traffic conditions so take your time especially on route 1.
For more information contact Robin www.vintagevepas@comcast.net Please tell her you saw thison the Hampton NH site.
Once again a serious reminder. MOTORCYCLES AND SCOOTER ARE EVERYWHERE! So please use caution. Two wheel vehicles have a lot longer stopping time than cars. So please do not pull out in fron of a bike and do not tail gate. Thanks!

PAUL'S CARRIAGE HOUSE RESTAURANT

paul's carriage house

The weather guys were right. It was hot yesterday. Let's hope they are right today as well. Temps should be around 90 that's a little better. Watch out for afternoon thunderstorms.
Above is not an empty house that I am trying to sell you, it's actually Paul's Carriage House Restaurant on route 1-A in Rye. Don't let looks deceive you this is one of the finest dining spots on the NH Seacoast. Inside is cozy with a fire place in the downstairs dining room. Upstairs is the lounge. Everywhere you'll find a charming rustic look. The food is outstanding! No fried clams here just perfectly prepared meals. From Steak to Broiled Haddock and some of the most creative dishes you'll find anywhere. This is a dining experience.
They are open evenings and Sunday for brunch.
Have a great day in Hampton NH!
