The Canobie Lake Merry-go-Round. One of the oldest rides of it's kind in the U.S.
You can have Six Flags and Wally World! Here in New Hampshire we have Canobie Lake Park. Located just 45 minutes away you'll find one of the most charming amusement parks in the country. Built in the early 1900's Canobie Lake has been the ultimate summer family destination ever since. The park is located in Windham NH on the shores of crystal clear Canobie Lake. Once you enter the park (which has free parking by the way) you will be amazed. Admission of about $25 for adults and I believe $18 for kids covers all rides all day! They some how have maintained the original atmosphere while still mixing in all the new rides that the kids love. You'll stroll under a canopy of shade trees and wind through the paths that have a surprise at every turn. Everything from one of the oldest roller coasters and Merry-Go-Round to the pirate ship and Boston Tea party. There are a multitude of food vendors plus two sit down restaurants and a tavern serving beer and wine. I would have to say that this place is one of the safest and most enjoyable amusement parks I have ever been too. I can't wait to get back there again this year!
